New Year's Resolution Time

So it's time again to figure out what my New Years Resolution is going to be, and I hate doing this because I never follow through. I just think of something, anything- so when people ask me I have the correct answer for them. I don't know why but when people ask me this question and I say," I'm not sure I haven't really thought about it," I always have felt stupid. Everyone else has been thinking about it, why haven't I? So then I start thinking of all the things I should say and think to myself, yeah right I'll never do that, but it sounds good.

Then I think, if I'm really honest with people and say, "I'm going to try and stop thinking I have to Prove myself to my friends and family, I have to have Faith in their Love, and I need to Stop Doubting myself." I think people would just walk away and think I have issues, and maybe I do, but it's the truth. So this is why I hate that question and I'll most likely say, "oh try to go to the gym more, read a 1000 page book this year or try to bake more." Blah, Blah, Blah!

I actually am thinking about going back to school and trying to take a few classes about being a professional photographer. I don't want a new career, but my second love besides my family is taking photos. I'm always studying photos and trying to learn how to take a similar shot of styles I like in books or magazines. So maybe that should be my New Years Resolution? See I have to talk this out in my head sometimes to figure it all out. I don't want to call a friend and have this silly conversation because it's a waste of time, but I've been thinking about it today and just wanted to figure it all out.

So when someone asks me on New Years Eve at the party we are going to, I'll say the easy answer and say, "take some photography classes," but my real truth is to stop feeling like I have to prove myself to my family and friends, I need to have faith that they love me no matter what! This way I won't scare anyone off. :)

Pom Pom Blankie to Drool For!

I Love Mermaids! It is SO hard to find cute fabric for children so when I do find it, I buy it all up just in case I'll never find it again. So I found this cute fabric and have been working on this blankie for my daughter for the past few months. For some reason, I just could not finish it, until today! One side of this cute blankie has mermaids and little sea horses and the other side has pink dot minky fabric and I also added white pom poms.

I would never sell this blankie with the pom poms due to choking hazards to infants or toddlers, but I know my daughter and I know she always has a Paci in her mouth and never sucks on anything else but her prize and joy, The Paci!

Anyways, it turned out Supper Cute and I have to share it. I don't think I'm going to post this on my Etsy Shop because I don't have a lot of the fabric left. Hopefully, I'll see it again.

I just have to add a short little story about my daughter and her magic Paci! My little girl Loves her paci and a few weeks ago she saw another paci in her room and ran over to it, even with one in her mouth, she picked it up and held it up in the air laughing with joy and looking at me. I'm in the bathroom trying not to laugh because she's so happy to have 2 paci's and then she popped one paci out and popped the new one in. She was SO delighted with herself, and I couldn't stop laughing.

It's all about the little things!

Bikini Onesie!

Since all my shopping is done for the holidays and all my orders are all shipped out, I actually have some free time to be a little creative. I need to come up with something different for an infant little girl and I didn't want to just give a typical baby blanket, not that there is any thing wrong with that, i just wanted to come up with something. So I've been experimenting with different fabrics and designs and this is what I came up with, A Bikini Onesie with Ruffles!

I showed my husband and he thought it was so cute and asked where I got it? (hahaha) I said, "babe, I made it!" He was really cute about it and he really liked it, it made me feel so wonderful, to see my husband act so cute.

So I decided I'd make a few more designs for fun and I'll post them on my Etsy Shop, clothing isn't my niche or passion, but these are so cute I have to share them with my customers!

Happy Holidays!

How Cute Is This! Boutique Tee Pee Tent!

How cute is this Adorable tent! I love it so much, partly because I helped make it and second because it is such a great place for kids to go play in and use their Imagination! My daughter has just started "playing," and this was so cute and fun to make. A very good friend of mine wanted one but they run around $350.00, and there is NO way she or I would spend that much on a childs toy. So off to JoAnns we went and got all the supplies. We stayed up half the night playing around with different designs and fabrics and all that really fun stuff, that us Crafters like to do. This is what we ended up with.

Here's A Sneak Peek! Stroller Covers!

So I got a request to design a stroller cover and I had never done one before, so it did take a few times to perfect my pattern. I really love how it turned out, it is ultra padded and I used the Softest of Softest baby Minky fabric. I just want to rub my face into it and Cuddle! Here's a few pics and I'll be listing some new designs soon on my web site.
