Thanksgiving Celebration
This being our 1st Thanksgiving in our new house, I had to host. I love Thanksgiving. I love buying the turkey and getting the house all prepped. It forces me to clean :) So we cleaned away and put all the rooms together bc we were going to have a full house. We had a total of 12 people sleeping over for 2 nights, so I needed the house to be very picked up. I LOVE a clean house and the smell of cleaning solutions in every room, I know it sounds weird but I just love it. I set up all the tables the week before and hung the Christmas lights too( my husband did that). Can you tell we are a little excited for the holidays? This being our first time to hang lights on our house, we got an early start!
Everyone started showing up on Wednesday and all the festivities started. I loved how I set the table and all the personalized wine glasses I made for everyone with my cricket. But since I was so busy cooking up a storm I forgot to take a few shots of the table, I'm a little bummed I forgot but it's all in my head and I really loved how it turned out. Here's a little description. I made a pumpkin stew and served it in small little pumpkins that I carved out all my self. This was a first for me but everyone raved about how much they loved the stew and how cool the "bowls" were. This was actually a family tradition that my Mother-In-Law told me about that she had not done for a few years, so I brought it back.
Then I carved out large pumpkins and and made them vases for all the flower displays I had put together. It was really fun for me to go all out for my family bc they do so much for us and I just wanted to give back. On top of my family coming all the way up here some really goods friends showed up too, which was a wonderful surprise. Thank goodness I had plenty of food and plenty of left overs, my favorite.
We all went to The Village to watch Santa come down in the fire truck to host the lighting of the Christmas tree. We all sung Christmas Carols and just enjoyed a cold mountain night. My family got to experience what a small town is like and they all get why we moved here and how special it truly is. Then we all went to the movies and saw that new movie with Sandra Bullock and my Aunte stayed home with the babies, i can't recall the name of the movie but it was SO good, we all loved it. So I highly recommend it!
The next morning we all woke up to our 1st white wonderland. It was snowing like crazy and we all put on our coats and ran out side in the snow, it was so perfect, it was like we were all 5 years old. My daughter was not too sure at first but she ended up liking it at the end. It was so cute!

I hear Wedding Bells....
We just got the call last week that our Cousin is getting married! He proposed and she said yes. We are all so Happy and so Excited. Mackenzie came up and we told her "Tom is getting married." She got so happy and started clapping her hands and running around the house singing, "Tom, Tom, Tom." I don't even think she knows what getting married means but she acted like it, so funny.
I'm super excited bc I was asked to be the Matron Of Honor, Mackenzie was asked to be the Flower Girl and my Husband is going to be the Best Man. I was so flattered and Honored to be a part of this very special day and to have my daughter and Husband involved too......I just feel so lucky to know such wonderful people bc we all know how hard it is to find Honest and Real people.
So Cheers to Tom and Heather!

Scams and Bullsheiting- Etsy

Have you ever lost your trust in everything because it seems like everyone's trying to scam you out of your hard earned money?
Or feel that people are trying to bullshit you?
The bullshitters seem to be very bad at it to, being that you can't shit a shitter.
You know?
The scammer(s) on Etsy are convoing sellers to ask for personal information to apparently pay for items by cheque or bank transfer BEFORE they have actually bought anything from the store. They are asking for Name, Address, phone number, email address and bank details! My advice is to stick to PayPal as your preferred method of payment (which is relatively safe) and if you receive a convo like this then reassert your payment policies and forward the convo to abuse@etsy.com
You should never take part in business transactions you don't feel comfortable with, nor reveal private information to those you don't trust.

Basically an "interested party" will contact you with an offer to buy one of your items. Their interest will often be vague. ( i.e "I am interested in purchasing your STERLING SILVER JEWELRY.") They will usually inquire about whether you will ship overseas and if you accept cashier's checks or money orders. Often they will offer to pay you much more than is necessary to ship express or as fast as possible. Many times they will have other weird requests and instructions like telling you that their money order will have an additional amount added on, and when you deposit it, to withdraw the difference to send back to them. If you get any type of offer like this, beware! These knuckleheads aren't interested in your sterling silver jewelry: just free merchandise and stolen money!
Correspondence like this is almost always a scam! They'll offer you more money to take you off guard and get the item out of your hands as fast as possible. Any money order or check you get from these goof-balls will be a fraud. It will go into your bank, but once it doesn't clear and the jig is up, your bank will hold YOU accountable and these jokers will be long gone.
If you get a message like this, report it to the authorities! (Or at least abuse@etsy.com.) Then we can give these clowns the boot and keep our virtual streets safe for us good, honest citizens!

This happened to me this week! They sent me a convo wanting to buy a Fancy and Fabulous Headboard, it's posted at $405. They just sent me a check for $3,000.00. I'm supposed to goto Western Union and send a cashiers check to a man in TX of the difference I owe them. I of course did not get the email till after the check arrived. Thank goodness I was smart enough to have them send the check to mail box ect. That is where the address looks like a real residence and not a PO Box, but it is a PO Box. Too bad a was dumb enough to fall for this and think this was real.
