More fun at the "Beach"
My Sister and her Boyfriend came for a little visit and I had to take them to the swim beach because they have never been and they thought they had done everything there was to do in Big Bear. We brought food and drinks, we had so much fun feeding the ducks and watching Kenzie become obsessed with saying, "Doug." (My sister's boyfriends name) Of course he loved it. Then they swam out to the Big Kid Slide and had so much fun. Here are a few pics from our day!

Mexican Food Night
We Love Mexican food and decided to Fiesta it up and start the night with a few Margaritas. My husband of course made them in our favorite blender the Bullet, and made a strawberry smoothie for Kenzie. Her 1st, and she loved it! Then we had Tostada's for dinner and were too full for dessert.
We never do wrong with Mexican food!
Making New Friends
So our new local hang out is the Swim Beach at Big Bear Lake and we have started to recognize a few of the same friendly faces. What a small town, I love it! It's amazing how once you have kids you just start talking to everyone because your kid is stealing some other little kids sand pail or someone else's kid is over in your purse looking for keys, whatever, it just cracks me up. I've begun to acquire a little mom's group that just like to hang at the "Beach." It's been really fun for us.

Hit-and-Run in Big Bear
Recently a 5 year old boy in Big Bear was killed by a hit-and-run driver. He was crossing the street with his mom and 11 year old brother, they were air lifted to a hospital, the 5 year old did not make it. Since this is my 1st time living in a small town I really got see how a small town comes together in a time of sorrow and grief. I personally did not know the family but they own the Thai Food Restaurant, right next to Paisley Boutique. Everyone is very emotional, as they should be, and I too have been. Having a child of my own makes me think, "what if that was my son or daughter?" I just don't know how people survive it.
Last night Big Bear held a fund raiser at the Hacienda Grill for the Bhandari Family from 4:00- 9:00 p.m. and thousands of dollars were raised for the family. Everything that was there was donated from the local community. My daughter and I went and I was shocked at how many people were there, let alone how many people I recognized from around town. The whole event was filled with love. They had food, drinks, raffles, live music, face painting, jump houses, and my favorite....... Candy Apples! Yummmmmmy! Here are some photos of the Amazing fund raiser, mostly with my daughter in them and her new friends! I'm so glad I was apart of this!
